I wish I had one of my old receivers to test. Wheeler guidelines call for scope bases to be torqued to 30 in-lbs, which will strip a 10/22 receiver. They recommend you consult the firearm manufacturer for base to receiver torques specs. I did, and Christiansen Arms recommended 18-20 in/lbs as well. They are both 6-48 screws, and I think that is the standard for that size.
