Splet05. feb. 2007 · The TPIS manifold is so narrow and sits so low it's port floors (if min 0.030" gaskets were used) it would be 0.095" above the cylinder head deck face. If I were to try to port match heads to the manifold the port floor and sealing face would be nearly gone. Proper port location is why I never buy used intakes that have been ported.

SpletThe Key reason the the 88-92 L98 350 TPI motors made 245hp and the 93 LT1 made 275hp is that intake. heads flow practically identical numbers and the cam was almost as similar. Best intake for TPI in my opinion is the TPIS miniram. which is pretty much a LT1 intake designed for TPI. Port matching an intake to 1205 and heads to 1206 is good medicine because you don't get any "walls" for the intake charge to run into at the head.
